Once the definition has said "eats no meat" I wonder why it is then considered necessary to add "poultry". Wasn't that said when "eats no meat" was said? Poultry are not vegetables. Birds are animals - not vegetables. Actually, the same goes for fish. I, myself, am what I refer to as a "99% lacto vegetarian." That means I don't eat anything that used to have a face - and I sometimes include cheese in my diet, though sparingly for animal welfare purposes. The things that I eat once in a great while (that are not considered fruits, grains, legumes, or vegetables) are these: scallops and shrimp. I can't distinguish a face on them when they're alive, so...

And what is the point of this? Consuming dairy (milk & cheese), causes extreme suffering for the baby cows - both females (future dairy cattle) and males ( dead after living 16 weeks chained inside crates so they can't move, on the menu as "veal"), and the suffering of the mother dairy cows being kept perpetually impregnated with their babies stolen from them within the first 24 hours of being born ... and they definitely cry & grieve for their stolen infants ... and the mother's spent bodies after 4 to 5 years of this cycle and confinement and stolen babies and stolen milk .... so they can be slaughtered for inferior "hamburger" or other "cheap" cuts of meat - 20 years before their natural life cycle should be over. CUT OUT DAIRY FIRST to eliminate the most extreme animal suffering - a shortened lifetime of servitude & pain. I used to love cheese & milk - I technically still do - but my appetite and food preference will not be the cause of animals suffering in this way. Then there are the issues of human mad-cow disease and cancer from the agents in cheese - google both, they exist and are proven.

Me Me,

Just because you cant distinguish a face doesn't mean it does not have one. The tails and heads are ripped from the body before your consumption of them.

Not exactly compassionate!
